Correspondence, deeds, and some financial records kept by members of an Andover and Coventry, Connecticut, family. Jabez and Joseph Kingsbury are represented by deeds, 1738-1768 and 1737-1781 respectively. Joseph is also represented by portions of an account book, several receipts, and letters from his sons and friends or business associates. Nathaniel Kingsbury is also represented by deeds, 1731-1790. William's correspondence is the most extensive in the collection and come from family and friends. He also kept a notebook for his garden, noting when he manured and plowed the land and when he planted different crops in the various fields he owned. Other family members represented include Royal, Horace, Mary, Ruth and Walter B. Kingsbury. The collection also contains a tax list and two fragments of land surveys which may be related to the family.
